Privacy policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
THONK! is a mobile game made by LM Tech Studio, Geneva, Switzerland. This page explains what data the game uses and why.
At a glance
- LM Tech Studio does not collect or store any personal data. We have no servers that receive information about you.
- No account, no name, no email, no phone number. You never have to sign up.
- Your progress is saved only on your phone.
- The game never asks for your location, photos, camera, microphone or contacts.
- Ads, purchases and the leaderboard are handled by Google (on Android) or Apple (on iPhone), under their own privacy policies. The sections below explain what they may use.
- We don't sell anything about you, to anyone.
What stays on your phone
Your progress (levels, stars, coins, gems, hammers, items, settings and records) is saved in a file on your device. We don't receive it. Uninstalling the game deletes it, unless you use cloud save (see below).
Ads (Google AdMob)
THONK! shows ads through Google AdMob: optional reward videos (for example, to double your coins or get a revive) and occasional ads between levels. To do this, AdMob may collect:
- your device's advertising ID and basic device information;
- how you interact with ads and the app;
- your approximate location, based on your IP address.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before any ads are loaded, through Google's consent form. You can refuse: you will still see ads, but not personalized ones. You can change your choice at any time from the game's options. More information: how Google uses data in ads.
Buying "No Ads" removes the ads between levels. Reward videos stay available, because they are always your choice.
In-app purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone). We never see your payment details. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made, so the game can give you what you bought and restore it on a new device.
Leaderboard and cloud save
Signing in to Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iPhone) is optional. If you do, it uses your player profile to show your Endless score on the world leaderboard and, if enabled, to save your progress in the cloud. The nickname you choose for Endless is shown to other players on the leaderboard. See Google's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
Children
THONK! is a cartoon game that anyone can enjoy, but it is not made specifically for children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are served through Google's certified ad network and follow Google Play's Families policies where they apply.
What we don't do
- We don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
- We don't sell your data.
- There is no chat and no content shared between players, apart from the leaderboard nickname.
Your choices
- Change your ad consent from the game's options.
- Reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your phone settings (Android: Settings › Google › Ads; iPhone: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking).
- Delete your local data by uninstalling the game. Leaderboard and cloud save data are managed from your Google or Apple account.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
